The End of Boiler Scaling & Constant Maintenance While standard water distillation is a highly reliable method for producing pure laboratory water, it has one massive flaw: hard water scaling. When raw tap water is boiled continuously, calcium and magnesium bake onto the internal pipe heaters. Eventually, your Lab Manager is forced to shut the machine down and spend hours scrubbing the boiler with harsh acids to restore its heating efficiency.

The Yamato WGH Series is a highly advanced Auto Still engineered to eliminate this exact maintenance nightmare. Designed as a hybrid Ion-Exchange + Distillation system, it completely changes the purification workflow.

How the Hybrid System Works Instead of boiling raw tap water, the WGH series routes the incoming water through a heavy-duty ion-exchange resin cartridge first. This strips out the hard minerals (calcium, magnesium, etc.) to produce deionized water. That pre-treated, softened water is then fed into the boiler for distillation.
